Like Jesus, we’ll start with water and make wine! Then we’ll learn the steps to proper tasting to enhance our enjoyment and appreciation of the diversity of North Carolina grapes grown for making wine. We’ll hear from a professional wine consultant, visit local wine shops, and take day trips to wineries.
Time: Varies with activities
Place: 1st meeting at Branden home and will have a bottling party there a month later.
For: Anyone who enjoys wine (target: 12 to 16 participants)
ASAP (Avondale Senior Adult Program)

We gather once a month for a wonderful home- cooked meal and delightful fellowship. We schedule field trips during the year and undertake varied mission projects.
Day/Frequency: Monthly on the Fourth Monday

Led by Sharon McCarthy, Zach Chambers and Eric Hayes
Get out in nature, commune with God and enjoy fellowship with other Christians through a monthly, local hike, led by experienced hikers. No bear spray required.
Day/Frequency: Mostly weekends, Some Weekdays (Specifics TBD)
Place: Will vary for each hike

Patio Prizes Clay Class

We will be making three projects for the patio including plates, containers and hangings. The first three weeks we’ll be hand building. The second two weeks we’ll be glazing and finishing the pieces. You do not need to have previous experience with clay. Come join us for evenings of fun, fellowship, and creative play.
Cost of $125 includes instruction and supplies/firing fees
Day: Monday or Wednesday evenings
Place: Fellowship Hall Kitchen

Get together for dinner at various members’ homes or meet up at a neighborhood restaurant. We may even put on a family event every now and then at a local bowling alley.

Women’s Bunco and Fellowship

This group of women has wonderful fellowship packed with lots of laughter, great snacks, appetizers and theme-night food. The $5 donation to play goes to Avondale missions.
