Mending Wings Visit Update - Book Discussion & Meal

Updated: Feb 22, 2022

Native American Book Discussion

on March 2, 2022 at 5:30 PM

Prior to the Ash Wednesday service, in the FLC beginning at 5:30 PM, Shea Chambers will lead a discussion that will help prepare our hearts and minds for the visit from our indigenous brothers and sisters from Mending Wings. We will discuss “One Church, Many Tribes” by Richard Twiss and “Unsettling Truths” by Mark Charles and Soong-Chan Rah. You are still welcome to attend if you haven’t read the books. Feel free to bring your dinner, or if there is interest, we can place an order for box dinners from Jason’s Deli - $5/per person. Please use this link to express interest in ordering dinner. RSVP is not required to attend. The discussion will end prior to 7 PM so that we can go over to the Fellowship Hall for the Ash Wednesday service to prepare for Lent.

Congregational Meal

March 6 following the "Dancing Our Prayers" service

In honor of visitors and guests, Congregational Life will serve a meal (fried chicken, sides and dessert) following the service. Please RSVP to attend. While RSVPing for the service and meal is not required, it is appreciated to help us with head count and planning.
