HENDRIX
It is with deep sadness that we share that Mr. Chuck Hendrix joined the Church Triumphant January 30, 2022. Chuck, 91 years old, joined Avondale church in 1958 and has faithfully served Avondale for 64 years. He was lovingly known by children, young and old, as the "Lollipop Man" and famous for spreading love with his handmade crosses, flower vases and candy filled boxes. He will be greatly missed. "Well done, good and faithful servant," may you rest easy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Avondale Presbyterian in the Sanctuary. Following the service a reception and family receiving will be held in the Family Life Center. A recording of the service will be shared later that day.
If you are interested in helping to provide light, pick-up snacks or desserts for the reception, please email Jessica Shanks. We ask that you deliver all items to the FLC kitchen by Friday, February 4. Obituary
SIMPSON
It is with deep sadness that we share that Mrs. Peggy Simpson joined the Church Triumphant January 27, 2022. Peggy, 83 years old, joined Avondale church in 1988. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022, at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
