Unified to worship God

10 AM Sundays in our Family Life Center

Awaken to a service that seeks to recharge and refocus us on God’s work in our lives and the world around us. Grab a cup of coffee, take a seat and listen, or stand and clap as the Worship Band invites us to shake off the week’s worries and turn our attention to God.

Our worship service at 10 AM is a meaningful, welcoming service that continues to affirm our Reformed tradition. Our service is a blend of ancient, traditional, and modern forms of music, prayer, and liturgy with scripture remaining at the center of the service. We hope you'll join us as we Glorify God.

Our service is a work in progress just like our faith. There is no particular dress code. Dress as you feel most comfortable to worship and fellowship with others.

Come as
you are.
All are
welcome.

Music

There’s prayer, Bible reading, and a sermon like most services. But we also try new things as we worship and deepen our relationship with God. We want people to participate in worship, not just attend the service. So we try to involve the congregation and engage the senses through word, music, and fellowship.

Holy Communion

Avondale serves Communion on the first Sunday of each month during Worship service. We believe this is not a Presbyterian table but rather a table for everyone. All are welcome to our table and invited to break bread and drink of the covenant together. We follow the PC (USA) Book of Order, which says, “All who come to the table are offered the bread and cup, regardless of their age or understanding.”

Children and Worship

All children are welcomed and encouraged to attend worship! Stop and pick-up a children's bag before the service if you like. Our service offers a "Children's Moment."

A nursery is available for children 3 and under from 9:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Visit the Children's Sunday School building for the nursery room. Unsure where that is? Ask a friendly face nearby!
